The Mosquito, a teenage deterrent system is an electronic security device that emits a modulating tone at 17.5KHz and 18.5KHz creating an annoying sound that can be heard by teenagers and young adults (13 years - 25 years of age). Teenagers and young adults are keenly aware of the annoying sound emitted and typically leave the area after 5-10 minutes of exposure.
